The South Central duo of Brittany Schoen and Samantha Troutman combined for 48 points in the contest. Sarah Pease added 13 points for South Central. New Washington was led by Freshman Jillian Charlet who scored 23 points. Charlet was followed by Ashley Nuget with 13 and Ivy Ivers who scored 10. More...>> New Washington wins eighth grade tournament (January 17 2005) The two undefeated Clark County girls eighth grade teams took to the court today. New Washington came out on top over Borden 29-15. It was a close game most of the way. New Washington had a two point halftime lead. Borden was held to four points for the rest of the game. The lady mustangs scored 12 points in the final period of play. New Washington advanced to the championship game against River Valley. Borden's loss put them into the consolation game aginast Clarksville. New Washington won 24 to 14 over River Valley in the championship game. The game was close all the way, with New Washington pulling away at the start of the third quarter. Members of River Valley's hearlded seventh grade beefed up the lineup for the Lady Steamers. Of the six River Valley girls to score, four of them were members of the talented and possibly undefeated River Valley seventh grade team.
